After five years of gathering trusted academic research and high quality data to use in the fight against the insidious myths of the gun lobby, GVPedia decided to expand their efforts in 2023 with this Substack page, Armed With Reason.
The goal was to further spread the strong, fact-based evidence our organization is known for, while adding personal stories, new research, useful archival material, and original podcasts, via daily updates. Our weekly “Friday Finds” posts compile more GVP-related news from across the media landscape.
It’s all in an effort to offer solutions and sustain hope in the face of the often complex and sometimes demoralizing reality of America’s gun violence epidemic.
Debunking the gun lobby’s “firehose of falsehood” is the primary objective for GVPedia. Though as you’ll see from the Top 10 list below, our readers are further concerned with domestic violence, safe storage, legislative history, and more.
