As the expansion of far right ideas zoom through our political landscape, many on the left have been increasingly debating the relevance of long-held beliefs. The “They go low, we go high” stance suddenly seems antiquated.
For our focus at GVPedia, the worry is the bubbling under belief that if one side is going to keep arming themselves, the other side will need to for self defense.
As we have covered here frequently, the numbers prove that owning a gun does not make you safer, but the easily-memed gun lobby falsehood of self-defense has proven durable.
Today’s GVPanorama is a frank layout of this simmering debate, specifically from the view of the trans community — a segment of the population currently under a constant barrage of suspicion and legislation from conservatives.
