Being a gun violence prevention activist can be frustrating work. And as with any kind of social change advocacy, when a personal injury hinders your ability to stay focused and keep up your usual support, self-doubt can creep in.
Today’s GVPanorama discovery is a personal essay by a teacher from Baltimore who felt regret that she didn’t jump into the gun violence fight earlier. Then when she finally did, a personal health issue impeded her ability to get involved in GVP events as much as she wanted. The initial disappointment though soon turned into creative ways to still be involved.
